This current work observes the forest bathed in light, a view that is both natural and abstract.
The forest in perpetual movement and change allows an interpretation of the blurring of the lines between structure and light. My work explores this unique perspective of pulse, light and energy in contrast to the strength, texture and geometric shapes of massive tree trunks and gnarled limbs.
The emotions of calm and heightened senses that I experience when in the forest and then explore in my work present a playful contrast to the titles I have chosen.
Titles such as "Turn Left at the Light" and "The Meeting was Yesterday" words that are more likely to evoke tension within our everyday busy lives, become meaningless fragments in the context of nature.
